- Description These door handles were designed by Harold Balazs, and they were located on the outside of each of the main Chapel doors. They are wood handles with a rectangular red ceramic plaque decorated with orange and black crosses inset into the wood . The inside of each door had a wood cross handle with an inset cross-shaped ceramic blue plaque that features the symbols of the four Gospel writers: Matthew (man/angel); Mark (lion); Luke (ox); John (eagle) (see accession number 1979.0001.a-d).
- Notes The door handles were removed in summer 2019 during the renovation of the chapel and addition of the Beeksma Family Theology Center.
