- Notes Majors captures the daily life of six women engaged in various activities such as carrying food, pounding maize and carrying a baby. In the 1980’s H. Wantue Major was a well-known Liberian artist and newspaper cartoonist. His cartoons ran in Liberia's leading newspaper, The Daily Observer, reflecting his awareness of Liberia’s deep-seated social, economic and political problems.
