- Notes The woman’s elongated face and long narrow nose resemble traditional African masks and was likely inspired by such. The work itself is painted on cloth from a Pillsbury Best flour sack. According to the wording on back of the sack, the flour was imported to Kinshasa, Congo by the seaport of Matadi.
