- Description This brightly colored and finely crafted chicken comes from Zimbabwe. Fashioned from a discarded container that once held 25 liters of polyunsaturated vegetable oil, the item is made of thin aluminum. The lettering on the chicken reads, “Salads, Cooking, Frying” and claims the “The Super Pure Vegetable Oil” is “ Clearly the Best.” Other words identify the oil as a product of “Olivine Industries (PVT) Limited, Zimbabwe. Because of the fragile nature of the chicken and especially because the thin metal has very sharp edges and points, the chicken would have been intended for sale to tourists, not as a child’s toy.
