- Description "I'm a passionate ceramic artist who creates both functional and sculptural forms. It's my desire to bring vibrancy and joy into the world, and I do this by using dynamic colors and elaborately ornamented designs in my work. I love to create abstract forms that still feel organic, typically throwing the main body of the piece on the wheel and then building the rest by hand, often adding elements from other materials after the firing, creating an over-the-top style that sets my work apart. In my sculptural work I create the antithesis of minimalism; "extra" is my mantra, and it brings me joy to bring a piece to life that's bold and extravagant - the flamboyance and glitz of Rococo with a modern twist. I am inspired by artists that use audacious colors such as Dan Lam and Kate Tova. I am also deeply inspired by my children, nature, and in the sound of the ocean." - Cori Schuman
