  • Notes Sironka’s work is a commentary on the Maasai, his people’s way of life. "Enkeshui" is a game that elder men play to pass time, often sharing snuff or chew tobacco whilst playing. "Enkeshui" is a traditional more complex mancala game primarily played by the Maasai. To become an elder brings with it certain traits characteristic of only those of advanced age. They are often clad in a blanket to keep warm and enjoy reflecting on the past which preserves history. Elders are pillars of wisdom from whom much of Maasai culture is preserved. *Sironka, Nicholas.
