- Description These door handles were designed by Harold Balazs, and they were located on the inside of each of the main Chapel doors. Each is a wood cross with an inset cross-shaped enamel blue plaque that features the symbols of the four Gospel writers: Matthew (man/angel); Mark (lion); Luke (ox); John (eagle). The outside of each door had a rectangular handle with a red enamel plaque decorated with crosses (see accession number 1979.0002).
- Notes The door handles were removed in summer 2019 during the renovation of the chapel and addition of the Beeksma Family Theology Center.
