  • Notes David T. Keyes was a Professor at Pacific Lutheran University from 1969 to 2011, teaching Communication, Media and Design Arts with an emphasis in ceramics and sculpture. These were the mediums Keyes primarily worked in, consisting of ceramic sculpture and vessels cast in fabricated bronze or made of mixed media. Keyes draws inspiration from his collections of art that span from Folk Art to Victorian Architecture. An offshoot from the mid-twentieth century Funk Art movement, Funk ceramics was established in Northern California in 1965.
